Vice President of New Business Development - Cobham SATCOM

Kim Bille Gram is the VP of New Business Development at
Cobham SATCOM. His responsibilities encompass the business development activities across the maritime, land mobile and aeronautical business verticals, from idea exploration through to the execution of business development programs.

Prior to his current role, Kim Bille Gram was the VP of the Aeronautical Business Vertical – a role that covered the strategic and operational activities at the Cobham SATCOM sites in Copenhagen and Cape Town. A significant event during his time as aeronautical VP was the decision to develop the highly innovative Aviator S Series product family supporting cockpit data services, and the subsequent contracting of these products to major global aircraft manufacturers.

Before running the aeronautical business Kim has held various regional and industry management positions within Thrane & Thrane A/S (now Cobham SATCOM) including the Regional Director Asia position which involved the expanding the commercial organization of the company into the Asian region.
Kim has previously worked for a number of multinational companies such Mitsui Engineering, Shipbuilding, Bombardier and AP Moller Maersk. Kim has a B.Sc. Econ from the Copenhagen Business School and a Master Degree in International Business from UCD in Dublin.

Kim is a father of two boys and lives in Denmark where he spends his spare time with family and friends sailing and skiing when time permits.
Kim is an existing board member of MSUA for 2017. Further to participating in the scheduled board meetings, he has taken on the role as working group leader for the maritime business areas in MSUA pursuing the MSUA goal to further define mobility thought leadership and outreach activities to align with the diverse interests of members.
